Sports Management Platform
Designed and built a full-stack web platform that digitizes end-to-end operations for Chipuka Academy, replacing manual processes with a single system used by academy staff, coaches, and parents.
Architected a modular Django application across 10 apps (players, payments, attendance, rankings, academy, content, etc.), implementing role-based access control for parents, coaches, directors, and super admins. Built an automated player registration and billing pipeline, including gender-based fee tiers, sequential player ID generation, and integration with Pesapal and M-Pesa payment verification.
Developed a barcode-based attendance system using HMAC-signed, offline-verifiable barcodes, paired with automated PDF ID card generation via WeasyPrint. Implemented an automated reporting system generating branded PDF player progress reports and fee statements in the background using Celery and Redis.
Built a gamified merit-tracking leaderboard ("Premier Points") with real-time rank recalculation across multiple age-group tiers, and laid the groundwork for a future mobile app via a documented REST API (DRF, JWT auth, OpenAPI schema).
